Research Interests

I am a historian of labor and capitalism. I plan to write my dissertation on the history of the “postindustrial” phenomenon known as “industrial heritage” and how it relates to much older curated displays of industrial landscapes and workers such as factory tours, industrial museums, and World’s Fairs.

My other interests include Appalachian history, the history of the southern textile industry, and media studies.
