WGFH: Kornbluh Book Talk
February 16, 2024 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
We are thrilled to announce that on Friday February 16th at 3:30pm at Love House (410 E Franklin St), Dr Felicia Kornbluh will be giving a talk on her most recent book A Woman’s Life is a Human Life: My Mother, Our Neighbor, and the Journey from Reproductive Rights to Reproductive Justice.
Dr Kornbluh is a writer, activist, and professor at the University of Vermont who specializes in the histories of feminism, gender, social welfare, and reproductive rights. A Woman’s Life is a Human Life is about the movements that transformed the politics of reproductive rights: the fight to decriminalize abortion and the campaign against sterilization abuse, at a time when sterilization was disproportionately proposed as birth control to Black, Latinx, and poor women.
We hope you will join us for Dr Kornbluh’s talk, followed by time for Q&A. Refreshments will be served. Please let us know you’re coming by RSVPing here: https://forms.gle/VWaQ561WY2P893397
