Navigating the Archive Pt. 2

Please mark your calendars for the follow-up to this event: Navigating the Archive Part II! Next Tuesday, October 11th at 4 p.m. we will meet in Pauli Murray 569 to talk about archival software and tools. We’ll have brief presentations on software like Scrivnr, DevonThink, and Tropy and hear about how these can be used to advance our work as historians in the archive. Faculty, graduate & undergraduate students are welcome. You do not have to have attended the first workshop to join us for the second! Find all the information in the flyer below.

*Though the History Department uses the name Pauli Murray Hall for our building, on official maps you will find it as Hamilton Hall. Joseph Grégoire de Roulhac Hamilton’s intellectually dishonest historical and archival work promoted white supremacy. In contrast, Pauli Murray marshaled unassailable evidence and analysis in the service of racial and gender equality. In July 2020, all of the departments housed in the building agreed to adopt the name Pauli Murray Hall in place of Hamilton Hall. An official request with the Chancellor is pending.
