Yıldız CMEIS Talk

Dear colleagues and friends,
We are delighted to extend our invitation to you for an upcoming lecture co-organized by the UNC Center for Middle East and Islamic Studies and The Carolina Seminar on Transnational and Global Modern History.
Dr. Emrah Yıldız (Visiting Research Scholar at UNC-CMEIS) will give a talk on “A Precarious Balance between Meddlers and Mediators: Turkey’s Engagement with Orthodox Economic Theory.”
The event is going to take place on:
March 26, Tuesday, 6:00-7:00 pmUNC-Chapel Hill, Pauli Murray Hall (Formerly Hamilton Hall), Room 569.
​***Following the talk, there will be dinner for seminar participants at a nearby restaurant from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. This occasion will also serve as a farewell to Dr. Yıldız, who is completing his research sabbatical as a visiting scholar at UNC this month. Please RSVP to Yusuf Sezgin (yesezgin@unc.edu) for dinner participation.
