My research interests are mainly history of the Late Ottoman Empire, history of the Near/Middle East, Ottoman diplomatic and military history, history of international relations, history of international law, history of international political economy, gunboat diplomacy, the Concert of Europe, empires & imperialism, and the British and French empires in the 19th century.
