Podcasting for Historians Workshop

November 11, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

On Monday, November 11, at 2:00 P.M., the Digital History Lab will be holding “Podcasting for Historians,” the second in a series of Digital History Workshops. Generously supported by the Department of History, the Media Resources Center, the Southern Oral History Program, and the Chapel Hill Public Library, this event will include a panel of speakers who have used podcasting as a medium for public history. We will hear from:

  • Aaron Schmidt (Media Resources Center) will speak about the resources available on campus for anyone who is interested in starting a podcast.
  • Sara Wood (Southern Oral History Program) will discuss her work on Press Record, the official podcast of the SOHP.
  • Molly Luby (Chapel Hill Public Library), host of Re/Collecting Chapel Hill, will talk about the uses of podcasting for telling local histories.

After hearing from panelists, we will open things up for a Q&A. Refreshments will be provided. This workshop will be held in Hamilton 569. All are welcome.
