Krasno Event: Ambassador Winston Lord on Nixon and the Opening to China

This Tuesday, Nov. 15, 5.30pm, Krasno Events has the great pleasure of welcoming Ambassador Winston Lord to the final Global Zoom event for this semester.
As Special Assistant to then Secretary of State Henry Kissinger Winston Lord contributed to the opening to China in the early 1970s and, later, as Ambassador to China, Director of the Policy Planning Staff and Assistant Secretary of State Winston Lord continued to be instrumental for Washington’s China policy. In the 1970s, Amb. Lord participated in every meeting between Nixon/Ford/Kissinger and Mao, Zhou Enlai and Deng Xiaoping.
