50th Anniversary of Southern Exposure Celebration

Join the Institute for Southern Studies on Saturday, March 11, for a celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Southern Exposure, the award-winning journal. The event is in-person or online from 1 PM to 10 PM and you can RSVP here.

1:00 pm: Southern Exposure: Why We Did What We Did panel: Bob Hall, Leah Wise, and Sue Thrasher

2:00 pm: Explore physical Southern Exposure and Institute-related archival material from the UNC Southern Historical Collection and interact with the newly released Southern Exposure digital archive

2:30 pm: Writing for Southern Movements Today panel: Ben Barber, Ajamu Amiri Dillahunt, Olivia Paschal

3:30 pm: Explore physical Southern Exposure and Institute-related archival material from the UNC Southern Historical Collection and interact with the newly released Southern Exposure digital archive

4:00 pm: Doors close

5-10 pm: Reunion and social at The Story Venue in Chapel Hill. Dinner provided.
