My research focuses on the history of Russia and the Soviet Union, particularly Late Socialism, 1953-91. I am interested in the history of fashion and the establishment of state houses of design. My dissertation will explore the role of fashion and consumption in the Cold War competition between the United States and the Soviet Union.
