Submission of a Bound Copy of Your Dissertation to the History Department
PhD recipients are required to provide hard bound copies of their dissertations to the department. These copies will be added to the department’s impressive collection of dissertations. In an era of electronic dissertation submission, the department’s collection of its students’ dissertations represent a tangible archive of scholarly achievement dating back to the early twentieth century.
The department requests that each student submit a bound copy of her/his dissertation that complies with the following guidelines:
- complies with the formatting requirements of the Graduate School except the text may be printed on the front and back
- preferably gray or Carolina blue binding
- acid free paper (but does not need to be 100% cotton)
