Research Interests: Although I have not focused on a distinct dissertation topic, I am exploring the interconnecting web of relationships between the king, the royal family, the nobles, the knights, the Church hierarchy, the various religious orders, the merchant class, the peasants, Jews, Moslems, and other segmented groups in Medieval Europe. One of the things that interests me is how perceptions range between orthodox and heterodox believers within a faith as well as that range with and between believers of other faiths, particularly Judaism, Islam, and paganism.
