Research Interests: My M.A. project investigates the representation of masculine (stereo)types in Soviet national cinema as an indicator of the national mood during the Thaw period. By analyzing the characteristics of celluloid masculinity portrayed in the most popular movies of the Khrushchev period, I want to more deeply understand the dynamics of Soviet society and its popular culture.
