Major Field: European

Advisor: Hagemann

Research Interests:  My current research interests are in German educators and educational institutions in the years between World War I and World War II.  I'm specifically interested in the reactions of primary school teachers to the growing Nazification of their profession in the mid 20s and early 30s, how successful the ideological "coordination" of the teaching profession was, and an examination of what pressures drove individual teachers to either embrace, reject, or attempt to ignore the new emphasis on Party-oriented ideologies and teachings.
