Major Field: U.S. History

Other Fields: Southern History, Civil Rights History, Feminist Theory/Women's Studies

Research Interests: My broad research interests include civil rights and memory studies. I am currently focused on Birmingham, Alabama, the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing trials, and narratives of civil rights memory. In my master's thesis I explored the way Birmingham remembered the events of 1963 during the first trial in 1977.
