Research Interests

Sixth-fourth centuries B.C. Greek political, constitutional, military, and cultural history (through Alexander); special emphasis on the events and personalities in Athens during the last decade of the Peloponnesian War. Publications include several articles in the American Journal of Philology and in various collections of essays.

Teaching methods employ computer and multi-media technology in master classroom settings.

Professor McCoy is also the Director of the UNC Summer School Abroad in Greece.
