Emily Davenport Guerry came to the University of North Carolina on a Varsity Volleyball scholarship and left in 2007 with a passion for gothic architecture. She earned her M.Phil. with Distinction at the University of Cambridge in 2008, and her Ph.D. in 2012. Guerry is a research fellow at Merton College, Oxford University, and is currently converting her dissertation on “The Wall Paintings of the Sainte-Chapelle” into a monograph.
